5th One-Off: ‚Life Perfect‘
I took part with my one second film ‚UI H rr r‘ at the fifth One-Off Moving Image Festival, November 11th – 20th, 2022.
The movies have been screened online during the festival in Copenhagen, Frederiksberg, Køge and Helsingør (DK). In addition, the One-Off used public space in Valencia (ES) to show the festival via QR-codes.

„Final Chords“ ist ein Resample von Schlussakkorden aus 16 berühmten, klassischen Klavierkompositionen und mein persönliches Requiem an die Welt.
Die Erde befindet sich in einem Zustand der Selbstzerstörung. Angessichts der massiven menschlichen und irdischen Katastrophen weltweit, scheint die Menschheit in eine Art Schockstarre geraten zu sein. Machtlosigkeit verdrängt Optimismus und wohin man blickt spürt man Endzeitstimmung.
Meine „Final Chords“ sind Ansammlungen von Endungen, die als „ongoing project“ fortgeführt werden. Somit entsteht ein endloses Ende als Spiegel der gegenwärtigen globalen Entwicklung.
„Final Chords“ is a resample of final chords from 16 famous classical piano compositions and my personal requiem to the world.
The earth is in a state of self-destruction. Considering the tremendous human and earthly catastrophes all over the world, mankind seems to have fallen into a state of shock. Powerlessness displaces optimism and wherever you look, you feel an apocalyptic sentiment.
My „Final Chords“ are collections of endings, which will be continued as an „ongoing project“. In this way an endless end is created as a mirror of the current global development.
A smosh of the unfinished Kontrapunktus XIV by J.S Bach with Final Chords, trying to duct tape the chords to the last written note of the score to give it a proper ending, closure. Complete with player errors and wrong notes.
